Word/Dance/Theater
Word/Dance/Theater was founded by Cynthia Word in 2000 and granted its 501(C)(3) charitable organization status by the IRS in 2001. Our mission is to provide dance experiences to people of all ages and stages of life. We design and implement programs in many settings including school classrooms, after-school programs, residencies, community centers, senior residences and theaters. Word/Dance/Theater believes that dance makes a difference. We acknowledge its place in all people’s lives and its application to health, education, the arts and community.  Photo by Tann Chesley.
